Accommodation for vacations in Scotland, Loudoun Mains is situated in a commanding position on the hills overlooking the lush green rolling pastures of the Irvine Valley. Loudoun Mains was originally the Home Farm of Loudoun Castle Estate, with links going back many hundreds of years.

Cottages

Our self-catering holiday cottages are the result of careful restoration and conversion of the existing farm buildings, and now offer you superb quality accommodation for relaxing vacations in Scotland. Loudoun Mains can offer you one to four bedroom holiday cottages, some standing in their own grounds, others part of a complex. All accommodation is furnished and equipped to a very high standard - living room with telephone and colour TV, kitchen with fridge, electric cooker and microwave, bathroom with bath, shower and shaver point. Cots are available on request. Some pets are welcome by special arrangement. Heating is by electricity (£1 coinmeter) and the cottages are double-glazed and insulated for your comfort. There is convenient parking for all. A central laundry is available also.

Country Club

Loudoun Mains Country Club is a private members only club available to all cottage guests on vacations for a small charge. It comprises of a heated indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi bath, sauna, lounge, cardiovascular gym and full weights/resistance room.

The surrounding countryside is rich in wild life and country walks abound. For those inclined to more active vacations there is fishing, horse riding, squash, and Loudoun Golf Club is only five minutes distant.

Textiles and knitwear are produced in the Irvine Valley towns and there are a number of mill shops for bargain hunters. Loudoun Castle Theme Park is Scotland's largest theme park and is only two miles away. Kilmarnock is only six miles away with a mainline railway station and the famous Ayrshire Coastal Towns of Troon, Prestwick and Ayr (with its Robert Burns connections) are all easily reached by car within twenty minutes of the accommodation.

It is possible to reserve storage here at Loudoun Mains. We have the facility to store small bulky items such as bikes and lawnmowers up to the entire contents of a house. It depends entirely on availability and is priced from £5.00/week up to £40.00/week.
