Holiday at Loudoun Mains  have been happening for over 25 years now and have evolved from the original basic farmhouse  B&B to now offer a complete package of self catering Villas, apartments and terraced cottages with a full Country Club on site. We have a small but beautiful, fully stocked fish pond  set in a tranquil part of the countryside in Loudoun Mains and a fantastic childrens play area on site.

Loudoun Mains is situated in East Ayrshire in a commanding position on the hills overlooking the lush green pastures of the Irvine Valley. Loudoun Mains was originally the home farm of Loudoun Castle Estate, with links going back many hundreds of years. The original castle otherwise known as Arklowdun Castle (destroyed back in in the 13th Century) was home to the mother of SIR WILLIAM WALLACE, and his travels are widely documented in the local area. He was born only nine miles awayand raised in and around the Irvine Valley. The Wallace trail documents his adventures throughout Scotland and can definetly be recommended.

Ayrshires other local lad was of course the literay genius ROBERT BURNS, whose infamous adventures are recorded in his songs and poems detailing Ayrshire some 200 years ago, his full story can be viewed at the  Burns Museum in Alloway, Ayr.

The surrounding countryside is rich in wildlife and country walks with local fishing, horse riding, 5 a side football pitches, a golf driving range, over 30 golf courses within 30 mins drive, clay pigeon shooting, quadbiking, motocross, skiing, mountain boarding and lots more. Loudoun Castle theme park is Scotlands largest family fun park and it's olny 2 miles away, it has some fantastic funfair rides, roller coasters and an animal park to boot.

The local area has a multitude of award winning resturants specialising in everything from Seafood to Spanish Tapas, we haveaccess to some tremendous take away restuarants who will deliver straight to your cottage door. (Tesco deliver here also, so why not get them to deliver you holiday goodies straight to your door). The local pubs and clubs are the same the country over and if you are looking for some recomendations just ask when you get here and we'll be delighted to suggest something  to suit your requirements.
